Elete Whey Protein - Tastes Great & Makes me feel good June 3, 2007 Jill Kurtz (Boise, ID) 17 out of 19 found this review helpful
I've tried a lot of other whey protein powders, but this brand is the best deal for the money. It tastes great, mixes well (I use either soy milk or water) and satisfies my hunger. It's also one of the lowest carb mixes out there. I've also noticed that if I drink one of these shakes right after working out I don't seem to get sore.
Let me state up front - I'm not a body builder - I'm an over 50, out of shape housewife getting ready for lap band surgery. I'm losing the weight I need to before the surgery and this stuff is helping. I was using Muscle Milk light, but it has way more carbs and I wasn't losing any weight with it - just building muscle.
The Cafe Mocha is great and so is the Butter Cream Toffee.
Great protein, and not just "for the price!" February 22, 2010 Matt (Pacific NW, USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
After going through Optimum Nutrition Gold and NOW Foods Whey Isolates, I decided to try something a bit cheaper that had good reviews. This is an incredible value ($36 shipped for 5#) for a protein that isn't high in fat or cholesterol, packs in plenty of protein and BCAA's, and actually blends perfectly! No granules left over to get stuck in my teeth, it is by far the best blending powder I have tried.
Mixed with water, the chocolate tastes as you would expect - nothing special, but it could certainly be A LOT worse. I don't know why some people deduct points because it doesn't taste like Godiva. Its whey protein, its not supposed to taste good. The fact it is not undrinkable like some proteins is an accomplishment, but this is a decent tasting mix. Blend it with milk and it passes as chocolate milk.
Im not a scientist or a body builder, just someone who weight trains with cardio on a low carb diet and needs extra protein. It has been perfectly effective, I feel replenished after workouts and have noticed good muscle growth and recovery. I will be going back to this product for a long, long time.
Dymatize Whey Protein; a great product at a great price July 23, 2007 David Santiago (Orlando, Florida) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is an excellent product...I have used it for a number of years. The price has been going up over the years, but through Amazon I'm getting great pricing which includes free shipping, saving me money, time and gas.
Amazing!! January 30, 2008 Julia Young (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been using this stuff for years, and I am one of the most selective people when it comes to food and nutritional products. I am lactose intollerant, and tend to feel sick from most foods. I've tried a few flavors from Elite protein and they've all been phenomenal. (chocolate mint, butter-cream toffee are excellent!) It is low calorie, low carb, low sugar, and the perfect protein for me. Most times I only use 1/2 a scoop. I recommend using it in a blender, if you use a shaker-cup instead make sure it is high quality. The blender always works best for me.
Is this really a protein shake? January 22, 2009 J. Nguyen (Pensacola, FL) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Wow, is all I have to say about this product.
I was looking for something that would supplement me for my in between meals while I was doing P90X Extreme Home Fitness with Tony Horton - Set of 13 DVDs.
I mix this(rich chocolate) with non-fat organic milk and it really does taste like chocolate milk. I remember when protein shakes were not so smooth and were really, really thick. That is definitely not the case here.
If you want a great tasting, easy to mix(even with a spoon), and a great quality product - I would choose this one. You will not regret it. My wife even loves it!
